"(9-22-04) I am now 6 months post-op. My job has become much easier physically since I am down almost a hundred pounds!!! I work at Grinnell Hospital where there are 4 bariatric surgeons on staff. We have only an 18 bed surgical floor, but yet we do more bariatric surgeries than anyone in the state!! I am proud to be part of the team at GRMC, as well as a successful WLS client. Dr. Eibes is the best in my opinion. He is straight forward and is very experienced at what he does. He has never had a death from bariatric surgery. I am so glad that I had Dr. Eibes. My life is so much better now than before WLS..THANK-YOU GOD & DR. EIBES! >
I work as a nurse at the hospital where Dr. Eibes preforms WLS. He knows his stuff. He wastes no time, is very thorough. He has helped me change my life....I would recommend him with high remarks to anyone considering this surgery!
"Surgical Associates" office and staff are very professional yet personable. Office is very clean and comfortable.
Aftercare is very emphasized from day one. all WLS patients receive a book that outlines everything, you have a dietician who visits with you prior to and after surgery to help you establish proper eating habits. There is also a great support group that meets once a month for all Grinnell WLS patients. it is very informative, a Doctor is at every meeting for Q&A's. Clothes are exchanged, recipes are available. there is a chatroom available. and you are given a list of members who have dedicated their time to help you with any concerns at any time. IT'S AWESOME!!!
I would rate him a 10 on compotence and bedside manner. Glad I chose Eibes!!

You are the best, I am going to miss you at GRMC. You have gave me back a life I can not begin to describe how wonderful I feel and look. I will always be thankful that I had you for my surgeon. YOU ARE THE BEST AT GRINNELL HOSPITAL!!!! Thank-you for your care! 1 year out in 2 days and I am down over 1/2 my total weight and went from a size 28W to a 12 and still slowly loosing. I can't begin to tell you how much you and God have changed my life! Kathy :)"
