I have struggled with my weight since I was around 10. I remember sitting at the Dinner table for Thanksgiving Dinner when I was 10. My aunt looked at my plate and said loudly for all to hear "Are you sure you should let her eat mashed potatoes, she is getting chubb? I ran from the table morbidly embarassed.
I have been diabetic for 26 years. I have dieted for many many years and at times had some success but my weight has ratcheted up higher and higher. For the past several years, my medications have made it impossible to lose weight. I diet, I exercise but with no success. I am insulin dependent and had heart surgery two years ago quadruple bypass.
Now I am legally blind because of diabetes.
