What a wonderful feeling

Aug 13, 2009

I am in the middle of phase II of my diet.  It has been liberating to free myself of food.  I really hope it sticks!  I got hungry for the first time since my surgery today.  I was satisfied with just a few spoons of soup.  I have lost 20 pounds my first week.  Does anyone know if I can expect this to last?  Any ideas about exercise?  I bent over a few days ago and pulled something.  The doc says I pulled forming scar tissue.  It feels like a pulled muscle.  Now I cant bend over without some pain.  She says it will get better in a few weeks.  Has anyone else had this??? I can't wait to start exercising but I'm scared that I might pull something else and I don't want to risk that.  Maybe I should wait my 4-6 week healing time.  I can walk though!  I want to burn, burn, burn the fat away!  I keep looking at everyone's pictures and it gives me such inspiration.  I'm glad I had the surgery and I hope that I will stay positive.  Lookk forward to hearing from anyone with comments.

My new story starts here.

Aug 09, 2009

It's done, I finally did the surgery on 8/5/09.  I'm just now getting around well and adjusting to the liquid diet.  I'm concerned that I will not be able to get in the recommended protien and water.  I'm going to give it my all.  Haven't been hungry yet.  I hope to keep that going.  I keep looking at the pictures posted for inspiration. It makes me remember that all things are possible.  I can use all the positive remarks available.  I have family support-but no one else has had this surgery.  My spouse is a little freaked out and will not eat in front of me.  He is even having my 15 year old dtr eat in the other room.  I'm about to fix that though!  The world doesn't change just cuz I'm on a liquid diet for a few weeks.  I'd love to hear from anyone out there who it going thru the changes too.
