PAST HALF WAY!!! who hooooooooooooooooo........
Apr 21, 2012
While I have been inching down by fractions of a lb (but I must say very steady weight loss), suddenly I get on the scale today and I am a pound BELOW my half way point. That was a huge surprise. I am extremely grateful!
Now in the weird counting lbs realm, I am down a total of 67, but in the way I really count (pounds lost since right before surgery including the liquid 3day diet) I am down 56. I am thrilled with this. THRILLED.

4-3-12 down another 9

3 months post op and I am down 51 lbs. (from before pre-surgery fast). Honestly, I thought it would go faster, but I am very happy with the loss. I need to get out there and exercise more!

A month since the 2-4 post, and only down 9 lbs. I wish it was more, really, but it is ok. At least it is DOWN, right?

slow... weight loss seems to be going very slow...
Feb 24, 2012
But it still keeps going. I eat so little compared to what I used to, it seems like it should move more. One thing I know for sure, if I was doing this without the surgery, I would have given up already because it is so slow. The part I am extremely happy about is that I really can't eat much more than I am... forced control, that is what I have needed for so long, to unable me to stay in the game.

2-4-12 Milestones
Feb 03, 2012
I reached two milestones today. One is that I am under 40 BMI, and I am very excited about that, another is that I am under 240. I can't tell you HOW MANY YEARs it has been since I have seen the 230s at all. Probably 20 years.
I was at the Drs. on Thursday and now I have full menu, which scares me a bit. But I do hope to start that today, up to now I was still doing the "heavy on protein" diet. NOw it is 50% protein, 25% good starch, and 25% veggie. Just makes me worry that I won't loose weight, but I know that this "process" will work, so it is just a weird thing in my head. My "head" has messed me up for years, I am going to get past this.

The scale finally moved. 1 lb, but hey... it was enough to help me remain motivated.
Went back to work yesterday, had a very bad day. I was eating eggs, and 1 piece turkey bacon. It went down wrong, well actually, I was working on the computer and I reverted to old habits and didn't chew enough. Talk about pain. That was crazy. Threw up twice, it was not pretty. It took about 2 hours to get myself together. I learned my lesson that I have to be paying attention when I eat because old habits/patterns die hard.

I feel great, but I am disappointed with no weight loss this week. Did anyone else experience this? I just think on a 600 calorie diet there would be some loss...

Ok, so today there was no new weight lost, and that is ok. I wish it could continue at the pace it was, but I know it can't. So I wait...
I must admit to huge boredom at home. I started painted a few things this morning, and that is good. I also started on the next phase of the diet (to some degree). I made some chicken salad, just chicken from a can and a little mayo, lots of pepper. It tastes great, and seemed to go down fine. I am obeying the drinking rule when I try the chicken. Tomorrow will be full phase 2. I worry that I won't be able to stop. I had no problem stopping the PROTEIN drinks, cause I hate them.

Starting to feel pretty normal. Went for a hike yesterday, it was cold, but it felt great to get out there and know that I can do things. Today's weigh-in was down another 2 lbs. (yesterday there was none). I can't decide what weight to use for the total amount. I mean it is 35 for the total since I went for the "informational session", but that was not a direct result of the surgery. Yet, to list all the numbers seems silly. Maybe to simplify I could list the "to go" pounds, but that makes it seem more difficult. What do you list? Maybe it just isn't necessary to list a thing, LOL.
Just decided. I will list the total since the beginning.
34.5 down!

Very surprised to wake up this morning and be down 2.5 today! wow. I did not think it would go so fast. That is a total of 11.5 since surgery. I must admit it helps with the "Have I done the right thing?" questions I have asked myself. LOL.
This morning I decided to try something different first thing. I drank V8. The stomach seems to handle that better. I hate to not start getting that protein in right away, but I need a break from the stomach acrobats.
Hope to see another movie today! Yesterday I saw "The Descendants".
