I have been overweight for most of my adult life after having two children, I thought about having surgery about a year ago, but didnt feel quite ready. As I kept gaining weight I thought about it more and more, finally fall of 2008 it hit me, I was ready!! What a feeling that was.
I am married to my best friend, the most amazing man ever. We have two adorable boys who I would love to keep up with a bit more, I feel this surgery will provide me with some amazing opportunities!! I have the best support system within my husband, kids, family and friends.
I had my surgery Jan. 20, 2009. I am about 8 days post op, I can honestly say that I feel an improvement each and every day, although it seems to be a slower process than I had hoped or imagined. Its happening and thats all I can ask for. I am extremely excited to start my new life with my active family and keep up with them a bit better!
I was extremely lucky to have a pretty easy preop experience, I met Dr. Chebli on Dec. 11 and had all my things done on my list by Jan. 13th! His office definetely made it a smooth process for me.
