Helena - Welcome to OH.com and congrats on your consult! Dr. Coates is a wonderful surgeon and you're in good hands. He did my surgery nearly 2 years ago and I've had no complications. Good luck getting approval (from what I understand Medical is one of the easiest to get approval from) and I hope to see you posting that you're a "looser" soon!
