Well where to start? I have been over weight my whole life, I have been able to loose weight but never to keep it off. After my son was born I was the heavist I had ever been up to that point at 250 pounds. It seems like the harder I try to loose weight and keep it off the more I gain. It has now been 11 years since my son was born and I am at around 295 pounds, this is the heavest I have ever been. The thought of going over 300 really scares me!!! And all of the health risks that are associated with obesity are even more scary. I already have sleep apnea, and am at a really high risk for diabetes. Both of my parents are diabetic and my dad has heart conditions. I know that I am headed down the same health road as them, as they are both obese too, and I have to change it! I want to be healthy for my self, but also to show my son how to live and eat RIGHT! I want to be able to run and play with him, not run out of air going up stairs or a small hill. I don't want to be controled by my food addiction. I am hear because the Surgen that I would like to go to has suggested this site on his website. I think it is important to get as much info as possible, and to be intouch with people that have already been there for info, advise, and encouragement. I hope to make some friends here and make it through this journey.
