Home From Surgery!!!!

Well, I am home now.....feeling a little sore, but I am functioning!!! I had surgery on Tuesday.....went home on Wednesday and feeling hardly any pain. I am just really tired!!! Just feeling a little tired!! I have a few staples and those are getting removed next week, I feel a little rumbling, but Im not hungry!

OK....3 days...tomorrow I start clear liquids and low sugar diet, then on Monday I stay on clear liquid, and have to take magnesium citrate (UGH 
) But whatever I have to do to get this done!!! Then after that I go in Tuesday morning at 9:00am and my surgery is at 10:30, so I am getting closer. I am nervous
, but excited
!! I am ready to change my life forever....my husband is nervous, he just is hoping everything goes well!! Me too!! Wish me luck and continue to pray for me!! I will blog the day of the surgery from the hospital!!!! See you all soon!!

Surgery Moved WAY UP!!!

Due to some insurance issues....my surgery was moved from April 28th to February 24th....I am so excited!! I love life.....

My Journey Begins.....

Wow...where do I begin....I finally have a job that will pay for my surgery so I am so happy about that!! I started seriously considering this option in July when I started working for my new company. They are based out of Maryland and I'm in Kansas City, MO, so I guess something about MD, that it is a law or something for companies to carry this rider for Bariatric Surgery, so I felt blessed and saw it as a sign. I did my 6 months of supervised weight loss and went to WW...as soon as I finished that I was approved by my insurance co. I went to see the surgeon for the 1st time yesterday and received my date, which is 4/28/09!! I am so excited...I have all the other things that need to be done either done or scheduled and I will be ready for the day my life will change forever....I am anticipating this date like I did my wedding or when I was expecting my kids. I hope all of you who are having, have had or are thinking about having surgery all the best and I will talk to u soon!!! God Bless, HC
