Liquid Diet Blues DAY 1
Dec 16, 2013
So today is the official first day of my Liquid die....... uuuhhhgg .. I know that everyone says it will be worth it in the end and I know and believe the same thing. Knowing and believing that does not make this liquid diet stuff easier. However, I am excited and ready for my surgery date 12.27.2013. I have friends and co-workers that have had the surgery, som successful and some that were not; but everyone's journey is their own and I understand that this surgery is a tool to help jumpstart me on my journey to a healthier me. SO LET"S GET IT>>>
Approved... Surgery Date 12.27.2013

so OMG... I woke up this morning and decided to weigh myself, i have not weighed myself since the start of October. When i initially went to see my surgeon I had weighed 409 pounds, then when i weighed my self on my home scaled it was 411 (that was the start of October) So on my same home scaled i decided to stand on my scale and it said 400 pounds.... so i didn't believe it. I know how much my daughter weighs so I had her stand on the scale and it was the correct weight. So i had her stand on it a few more times, I took a shower, and waited one hour and stood back on it and it said 400 pounds. So i guess i really did loose some weight at least a good 8 - 9 pounds... All of this is with limited exercise due to a knee injury. All i have done was limit my sugar and fast food intake. Sugar free everything due to my ac1 being high. This gives me confidence to keep it going. We went to Denny's this morning and instead of ordering the works... I ordered scrambled eggs, wheat toast, and 2 turkey sausage patties. WOW... THAT'S DEEP. usually I order sausage, bacon, pancakes, french fies, and eggs and soda. WAY TO GO SHYLEEN.

SO I AM JUST TRYING TO BRING MY PAGE UP TO DATE...MY FIRST VISIT WITH MY SURGEON AND OFFICE WAS BACK IN SEPTEMBER. SINCE THEN I HAVE LEARN THAT I WAS ACCEPTED INTO THEIR PROGRAM WHICH MEANS I GAINED APPROVAL FROM THE NUTRITIONIST, NURSE, AND PSYCHIATRIST. I RECEIVED MY CHECKLIST PACKET IN THE MAIL AND THE THINGS I NEED TO DO PRIOR TO SCHEDULING A SURGERY DATE
1. PAP SMEAR (EASY RIGHT)
2. LOWER MY AC1 TO CLOSER TO 7.00% ( IT IS CURRENTLY AT 8.1%...SO NO SUGAR..NO SUGAR..EXERCISE..EXERCISE)
3.COMPLETE MY 4 ON LINE MODULES.... (EASY)
4.ATTEND A 2 HR SEMINAR ANY TIME... (EASY)
5. AND LASTLY I NEED TO LOOSE 20 POUNDS (OMG....WOW....) BUT I CAN DO IT.
6. Obtain a letter of necessity from my primary care... (she already said she would write one up)

HELLO PEOPLE, SO I HAVE BEEN GOING THROUGH THIS PROCESS FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW, I HAVE BEEN SURGEON JUMPING THE WHOLE TIME. I HAVE FOUND THAT IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU HAVE TO NOT ONLY BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR SELF BUT ALSO IN THE PROGRAM THAT YOU DECIDE TO TAKE A PART IN. I HAVE FOUND THAT PROGRAM THROUGH THE VALLEY CARE MEDICAL PLAZA. THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE ARE ALL SO NICE AND TAKE THEIR TIME TO TALK TO YOU AND LET YOU KNOW YOUR PROCESS. DR. LEE WAS VERY NICE. I MET HIM ON MY FIRST VISIT TO THE CLINIC AND IT WAS EASY TO TALK TO HIM. HE DIDN'T JUDGE ME OR MAKE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE ABOUT ANYTHING. HE SAID HE WAS CONFIDENT THAT I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEMS BEFORE, DURING, OR AFTER THE SURGERY. SO HER I GO ON MY JOURNEY....
