I'm a 38 yrs old, and have been overweight my entire life. I am recently divorced and a mother of a very active 2 1/2 year old son. He is my life. I want to have the surgery to be here for my son and to be healthy.
Several friends of mine have good ins. and were able to get the surgery.
My insurance company advised I was approved, provided it was necessary. So the I am doing all of my test. March 20 I will go into the hospital to have the sleep study. I'm excited about that. I will get 1 night of sleep. My son doesn't sleep threw the night because of my snoring. How funny is that. I wake my self up because of my loug snoring..anyway I have had my ekg and blood work. On March 13 I go for my bone density test. I'm so excited. Everyone at my surgeons office is so nice and helpful..I hope to have lots of support here.

Well I just called the Dr. office. They are waiting on 2 test results that were sent incomplete. I'm really ready to get a date. This is so important to me.
April 19. Well today the Dr. office called and they have all the information to send to my insurance company. Please send the prayers this way..
April 21.. Papers sent to the insurance company...
April 26..Heard back from the insurance company. They wanted the 6 months of supervised diet. Lucky for me my 6 months will be up in May. I have my last appointment with my doctor for my weigh in and blood pressure check on May 4.
May 4.. I just left my ppc office. I actually lost another 6 pounds. I'm so excited. My DR is prepairing the documents for me to send to my insurance company for the 6 months of documented weight program.. The papers should be ready next Tuesday. I will pick them up and take them to CCS for them to send to the insurance company...Wish me luck
May 24...This sucks. My doctors office didn't document enought information so now I have to do it again. This is driving me crazy..I am going to a nutritionist Thursday so I can get this process rolling..Wish me luck

They are very supportive. Well I went to the nutritionist today. And I actually documented everything very good. Between my PCP and my nutritionist I will complete this 6 month documented weight program in August. However I just might go 1 more month..Peace and blessings..
Sept. 7, 2006...I just got the call. I was approved by the insurance company. They actually called me. Then Central Carolina surgery called me. I'm so excited. Now I just have to pay the little fee, and they will schedule me..Thanks to everyone...Blessings..

Home from surgery. Everything is ok.. A little sore, but i know I'm on the right track..
Nov. 14. Today was the best day ever. I went to my NUT and I lost 16.4 pounds. I could see a change in my leggs, but I'm still tripping 16.4 pounds. Thanks to all of my supportive friends..Oh..Eggs were terrible today..I can't do them for a while..But I get some solid foods now..
Jan 8. Well things are getting better for me. Still having problems with real meats. I'm down to 255 from 298. I'm so happy. I'm going to my nut on the 10. Can't wait to see how much more I have lost..
Feb 14..Things are still great. Last week I was 244.3 I know I have to start exercising more.
July 8 ... Wonderful day.. I am actuall in a size 14..
