Liquid diet question

Hi all,
I am new here....and just starting this journey. I am anxious to get going on this journey...I have waited waaay tooo long. I am wondering if any of you used al iquid diet tolose weight prior to surgery?
And if so, which programs and were they successful? I would like tolose some weight before surgery....
Any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
