I was born in London, ON in 1972. My parents seperated when I was 7, this was the start to me becoming a person trapped inside. Over the years I've tried diets from nuritionalist/nutri system/TOPS/Weight Watchers/ LA centre/ Bob Green book/ Susan Powter book/ and a few others.
Finally my Dad mentioned to me a lady that had been at his house and was going through for some surgery for weight-loss. He got her name and number for me. Then the next journey began. I got in touch with her, she helped me get everything organized I'd need to do after my initial consult appointment. I went June 24/08 to Barix in Michigan and met up with a wonderful doctor (NUNN) for my consult. Came back to Kingston where I've resided for the last 11yrs, to find out my doctor abandoned ship. Never told me, no letter, and no call. I was angry and frustreated to say the least. I spent the next 6 weeks trying to find a doctor and going in/out of a walk-in clinic for help. Inbetween we were moving and going on vacation for a week.
Come september I finally heard from a doctor's office and they booked me in for dec 3/08.
My new doctor is great! He went over everything from family history to some personal/physical issues I now have. I'm currently almost 37 in May. I want to concieve a child after a 1.5 year weightloss regimen. The doctors office sent my letter I wrote, pictures of myself, a letter from him, and the out of country form in the next day. I got my answer after new years, and then spent 2 weeks waiting from the scheduling department for my surgery date. Those were the longest 2 weeks..just waiting on a date. Finally I get the call and I miss it. It was much easier to get hold of them, instead of trying to call me. |I booked the tests for April 13/09 and RNY is set for April 27/09. I could of had it done alot sooner but, things happen to us in life that are unforseen...so I wait....It'll happen...My new life will begin!
