I decided to have gastric bypass in August 08'.  That was my first informational.  I had to lose 18 lbs before surgery which was on 12/19/08.  I lost 28 before surgery and since surgery I have lost 13lbs. y ( I think it's not bad being as I'm only 3 weeks out.) I'm glad I did this.  I was only in the hospital for two days, I went in a Friday am and out on Sunday am.  I still have some pain in my right side, which I'm hoping  will go away soon, other wise I feel great.  My sister also had this done on 12/17 which is nice that we are going through this together.
