Hi Michelle,
I had to write to you about your post tonight about the opening in your incision. I too had this. It was so, so gross, I hated it! I had a pocket that the doc called liquid fat, and he just stuck is surgery knife in there to let it drain out, and then it had to heal from the inside/out...talk about sick!
I did want to tell you though, that it took a long time to heal because I kept it packed all the time; it is better to let air hit it for periods of time, especially after a shower (use a blow dryer to be sure to get it dried out). Once I started to let the air hit it; it healed quickly; and now it's appears just like the rest of the scar, except a tinge pinker and wider. Oh, man, you brought it all back to me! Yuck!
Good luck sweetie!
As you take your journey to the inner, and thinner you, remember:
The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7
For I am the LORD, you God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
Don't tell GOD how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your GOD is!
Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:31
