Thank you to everyone on OH and thank you to my doctor and his office staff for getting me back on the schedule quickly--I have a new surgery date of September 5th!

Because I got diverticulitis. Waaaaaahhh! It took a year to get that surgery date. I've been crying a lot.

Well, tomorrow I have my pre-op visits, and RNY is next Tuesday!

I have been working on this journey since last April, when I finally persuaded my primary care doc that I needed help with weight loss. By the way, that was April 2008.  Got to see Dr. Howard Simon in Syracuse late August 2008, insurance approved me in Feb. 2009, and now here I am. I will not say the time flew by, but I did not have a choice in the matter.

So, I persevered, and hopefully all will go well now. I am nervous!
