"I haven't met with Dr. Finelli just yet, but so far his office has been great! His nurse was absolutely wonderful!! I meet with Dr. Finelli next week, and I will post more then!
Well, I met him! LOL He scared the crap out of me with how frank he was about the possibility of DYING! I know it's a risk, but hearing him say it the way he did, took me back a bit. He seemed very competent and nice. He has a low complication rate and has not lost a patient out of over 200 surgeries he has performed.
He didn't emphasize aftercare very much, but made sure I had the printed information his nurse handed out at my consult. His aftercare schedule was routine visits, no follow ups with dieticians or nutritional support.
Overall I would give him an 8.
So far, I would say his surgical competence outweighs his bedside manner, but I will see post op and once again report back! :)
I'm Back! :) I had some complications and Dr. Finelli really impressed me with his knowledge and tenderness. I must have just gotten a bad first impression, because he put me at great ease and was very professional and knowledgeable.
