Well lets see as of Dec 29th i went to pre register at the women's and children's hospital .i had my chest ex-ray done and my blood work and my CT scan which was no big deal.it did not take me but about an hour and a half .Then i had a appointment at Dr. Shins office at 1:00 for my pre op teaching. Well after she weighs me she tell me that I need to loose about 10 pounds and that my surgery was going to be changed from Jan 5th to Jan 14th and at Charleston Memorial instead of the other hospital that I had just registered at . Dr. Shin does surgery at both of them.At first i thought there is no way I'm going to be able to loose 10 pound in 8 days.And then my husband and I where talking and we both were kinda concerned about my Estratest not all being out of my system ,because I had not had full blown hot flashes yet .and want you to know the next night I could not even sleep .So I guess everything happens for a reason .So here i am now and having hot flashes every 30 minutes so I definitely know the Estratest is out of my system.So that makes me feel sooo much better. Well I went back to the Dr. yesterday and I had lost 17 pounds lordy bee I could not believe it.So now I'm ready I have to be there at 8:30 in the morning Wednesday so far I have not been nervous ,I don't know if that will happen as the time comes closer or what but I do know that I have alot to do around the house got to have everything just so so .Well Ill ttyl

Well i found out last Tuesday that I had been approved after i called the insurance company .So i called Dr. Shins office and they said just as soon as I got the approval letter in the mail then to fax it to them then they would give me a date .So i did not get the letter until Saturday which I thought it was forever seeing how it was just coming from Charleston .Well I faxed it to them this morning then I called about 15 minutes later to see if they got it and she said yes hold on .Then the nurse came on the phone with my date .
She told me it was going to be like this but i really didn't believe it because it just seems like nothing goes the way you want it to go .But it did and January 5 ,2009 on Monday at 1:00 pm I will be having WLS .CAN YOU BELIEVE IT ?? Not me .I go on December 29, for my lab work and have to go back on Dec 15th for my pysch follow up which is good for me so I can get some Christmas shopping done.Well I will post again soon .

Dr. Shins office called me today and said all my records are in order and all I needed was my psych evaluation.They wanted to know if I could come in this Wednesday y (I was like you know it)I was trying to play all calm and all but inside I was about to bust especially after she said that I should know something Thursday or Friday.Keep me in your prayers ,I'm so ready for this !!!

Called The Office Today

Well, I called the Dr's office today because I had not heard from them and it turns out that my Dr. was suppose to make the appointment to have the light ran down my throat because I want to have it done here in my hometown so my Dr is going to set that up for me tomorrow .I had my blood work done today and scheduled my Pulmonary test for Monday at 2:00 and I think I'll,be able to use the EKG that I had 5 months ago if not then I'll have that done Monday after I have my Pulmonary test done since I didn't have to have an appointment .Thank God I have good insurance that covers the biggest part ,if not all of this.I have to call Helen in the morning to make sure all of my progress notes are in order so she can make the appointment with the crazy Dr.
My First Office Visit With DR. Shin

Well today was my first visit with Dr.Shin and it went very well I had to have 3 month documentation of a diet plan from my Dr which I had faxed to them and I had to see the nutritionist .I also had to meet with the nurse Vanessa and she was very nice .
I need to get my blood count from my regular Dr. and I have to attend a support group meeting on October 7,2008 .
The nurse will be calling me back for my appointment with the physiologist and I have to have a a light ran down my throat which she is scheduling
I'm on my way!!
