6 months since my surgery....

It is has now been 6 months since my lapband surgery and I am done 56 lbs. I am very proud of my self that I got back on track after having a couple months of not loosing any weight as I was dealing with my demons. The mind still thinks differently than my body. Its still a challenge everyday, but I take it one day at a time.
I am currently trying to hit my short term goal of 70 lbs by the end of February. My family and I are going on a cruise to the Carribean, and I want to be down one more size when I go.
Still doing pilates and now have taken up water aerobics as well I still go for a run here and there. Decided to take a little break from running, change things a little bit.

62 days post op.....

Well I am currently 62 days post op and feeling pretty good! I am getting lots of compliments from everyone, especially my husband!! I definetly have to explain what lapband is to a lot of people as they just don't know about it, and after I explain it , I always say I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!!
I just went for my first fill on September 18, 2007 and it wasn't bad at all. I think we anticipate it to be worse than it is. Boy, what a change in what I could eat after though......it was nice to get back on track again. To date I have lost 43 lbs. Can't wait until I hit the 50 mark!!!
I joined a running class and a pilates class at the beginning of September. So far both are going good. The running class is how to run 5K. The instructor is so great, as she encourages you to do what you can handle. So are I am running for 5 min and walking for 2.5 min (3 times) for the 5K. Not to bad I think for lugging this overweight bod around a track.....

3 days post op

Well, its 3 days post op, and I am doing good. Just flew back from Toronto yesterday, that was a long day and I was a little sore by the end of the day. After a good night sleep in my own bed, I feel really good today. Tomorrow my family and I leave for B.C., to go on our family holiday. Should be a good time. Can't wait until to see where I am at in a couple of weeks.

Well I have only 2 more days to go now......I am at work right now trying to get everything done so that I can leave for Toronto tomorrow. My surgery in on Tues at 9:00 am. I am nervous, but mostly excited to start the new phase of my life.
As for the liquid diet, I am holding my own. I have been on it for 3 weeks, and I have not cheated once, which I still finding hard to believe myself!!!! I guess I keep looking at the bigger picture. I have lost 25 lbs so far and can't wait till I can post that I have lost 100 lbs.
