"I had had experience with Dr. DeWitt prior to my surgery as both my daughters and son-in-law had had gastric bypass before me. I was impressed with his knowledge and caring manner. He spent plenty of time answering questions and made sure you were aware and informed of the proceedure. He was incistant upon your attenting preparation classes and recieving literature prior to the surgery.My son in law was over 400 lbs and he did everything to be able to perform his surgery laproscopicly. I was impressed with his commitment to doing whatever was best for the patient even though it meant more work for him. He was instrumental in hiring a bariatric coordinator, who is wonderful and very supportive.She has started all kinds of programs both presurgery and post at Carraway for bariatic patients. Dr. DeWitt has backed her all the way. We have an active support group and Dr. DeWitt even covered the cost of the rental of the pavillion out of pocket for our Halloween get together. I have only good things to say about him in every way and recommend him to everyone I meet. "
