I am 38 yr old Military spouse who has gone through some tramatic events over the last 4 yrs. My husband of 16 yrs left me for his 19 yr soldier. My 17yr old daughter and 14 yr old son were devastated. Every since the birth of my son in 1991 I have had issues with weight and depression. I lose weight and gain weight. The event of my husband leaving us sent me into a downward spiral. I had to be strong for our kids but behind closed doors, I turned to food for comfort. I am finally learning to live again and enjoy life. I hope to finish my divorce by the end of the year. I am ready to move forward in a healthy way. I had my surgery on 20 Jul 2009. This is a part of the new me.
