Holiday eating... yikes

I love this time of year... but why is it so stressful every year? My husband was just laid off a couple days ago and then we receive a letter stating that he has been denied unemployment. Why of all the days and months out of the year does it have to happen around this time? I'm trying not to stress and let this ruin x-mas for my children, but it's hard not to worry. I told my kids that Santa can't afford much this year and they understood...they are kind children. I'm not the kind of person that broadcast her problems on the Internet but I like this site. I know that cookies, turkey, stuffing, pies etc. are so plentiful this time of year and I don't want to over indulge because of stress. It is good to get things off my chest. Thanks for listening!!
