I am home, it has been a long week, but everything went perfectly. Will write more later.

I had my PreOp appt. on the 1st of August, that was a long and busy day. My daughter went with me, I think she is beginning to see what it has been for me to get this far.
During the meeting with the Obesity Program Coordinator she spoke about the decision to have WLS is most often the first time a woman has made a decision that is totally about herself, rather than just going with the flow and being the glue that holds everyone else together. I know for me my family respects my decision, but it is the very first time in my life I have ever done anything that is JUST ABOUT ME! I am very proud of myself for this, I am going to have a wonderful outcome in this process.

The surgery coordinator called today, I am approved! Without any hold up, no Healthy Roads requirement... just approved! Thank God.
We are looking at mid-end of July.

I spoke with Yvette at Dr. Sanchez's office today and she has submitted my paperwork for approval. I sure hope it moves fast.

I had my PreOp appt. so we move to the next step. Due to Dr. Coates insurance I have to get my BMI to 55 before he can do the surgery, so I have some work to do.
No Sweat! I have begun Atkins again for the millioneth time in my life, because I know it will be a quick loss and I can stick to it. Once I am down it will take just 7 days for the authorization.

My PreOp appt is scheduled for March 1st! I really cannot believe it is so quick. Just a bit excited here.

Good News! Drs. office sheduled me for a March 14 seminar, I called to check on cancellations for the Feb. 21 class and got in.
The seminar was informative in the area of what Dr. Coates office offers, but I have completed so much research that I really did not learn anything new surgery wise. But worth the time spent.
