My name is Fatima Pierson and i am 44 years old. I have given birth to 9 children and those pregnancys have given birth to the extra 120 pounds i have been carrying around with me on and off for the past 20 years.It seems whenever i got pregnant i'd gain alot of weight,start to loose some weight and get pregnant again. Yes i love having a big family but it never left any time to take care of myself. I decided to have the RNY as soon as my first grandchild was born. I had become so over weight that my feet and ankles were always swolen to the point it was getting difficult to stand or walk. I went through tons of testing just to be told everything is fine except that im too fat. I did have a blood flow problem in my left leg that caused it to swell even more than the right leg and was told to wear pressure stockings. Pressure stockings do not come in my size and if they did i would need three people to help me get them on. I quit both my jobs and decided this is my year to take back the ME i used to be. So my journey begins.
