Well, I started my journey back in October of 2004.  I had my gastric bypass laproscopic.  I left the hospital and 5 days later I was back in the emerg room I couldn't keep anything down, and I was in horrible pain!  I just thought it was all part of the healing process but I was mistaken.

The Dr's noticed that my part of my small intestine had twisted and decided to go back in right then and there.  So that was my 2nd lap surg.  I think I was out of surg.  for about an hour when the Dr. came in and told me that they couldn't fix the problem laproscopically so they had to open me up!!!!  I was terrified!!!  But I had not choice....

It was a long road to recovery and no matter what you are told in the classes YOU ARE NEVER READY !!!!!  BUT even though I went through such hard times, I am 107lbs lighter 2 YEARS LATER!!!!  I would do it again in a heartbeat!!!

I still dump!!  It's still not fun!  And after all this time I am STILL learning what I can and can't eat.  Never gets old and it never goes away!

But I believe that if I didn't get the surg.  I would be divorced and weighing even more than I did.  I'm a lot more fun to be with (just ask my husband)  I want to go places and I love shopping for clothes!!!!  I still bring larger sizes in the dressing room thinking ok I'll bring the 12 just in case but I still always fit in the 10!!!!  It's a beautiful thing!!!

  I HAVE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER!!!!
