2/10/06...All doctor appointments are made and im just waiting on them to get my tests done so we can proceed. I have been visiting the message boards and hanging out in the chat room. Im not sure if its for knowledge or just to be around people who are "in the same shoes" as me.
3/13/06...Got all of my pre cert tests done today. The tests for the most part were easy and it started at 8 am and i was on my way home by 2 pm...not bad and better than expected. Im down 11 pounds since the last weigh and that was a plus as well.
3/16/06.... Finished my pre-op class today and got my "before" pics taken. Met with the diatician and she unloads alot on you but i think with the papers that we were given and the notes that i will be fine.
3/22/06...Call from Dr. Inmans office stating that im type II diabetic has sent me reeling. IF the suger is not under control and quickly then the surgery is cancelled. UPDATE........ The surgery is on, all i have to do is keep the suger below 200 and its a go.
3/30/06...Suger is under control and is staying around 100 to 140. All i had to do was to give up the sodas.
4/09/06...im on the losing side now. Surgery was uneventful and im at home typing away. Dr. Inman and crew are the greatest.
5/08/06... Wow, what a ride so far. I just reailzed that its been a month since i opened this thing up.
First check up was last thursday and all is well. They gave me a script for my own b-12 shots and took my thiaman intake down to 1 per month. Im off the protein shakes but now im drinking twenty four ounces of milk and a protein bar for my daily intake.
Im having to get reaquainted with meat. So far its been chicken saled and tonight ws pork roast and carrotts. This weekend is my first race this season and im geared up and cant wait.
Todays weight 331......down from 398.
6/16/06....And again...its been over a month since i updated. Alot has happened since then and the highlite of the month wasa two day trip back to St.V's for a ICU visit for a bleeding ulcer. Something about passing out the doctor did not like. My local dr. would not even look at me so they threw me in a ambulance and off we went.
All is better and im feeling great. Down 80 pounds today.
7/03/06....Almost a month again. Things have been really busy between work and racing. Does not leave me much time to get any posting done as i get to lurk little and that is it. Down 94 pounds and feeling better than ever.....For the first time since high school im under 300 pounds and loving it.
8/30/06....got to get on here more often. Took a new job and down 122 pounds.
10/21/06...Well, another trip to st. V's for bleeding ulcers...this is the 2nd time i have been there for this. other than that, all is well. Down 142 pounds
02/19/08...look at me go, I havent been here forever. And i find that im updating today with problems.... down to 220 from 398.
