Hiya. My name is Erin, and I am a long-time lurk-er and a newbie post-er. I have been overweight (then obese, then morbidly obese, then super morbidly obese) since I was a child. At age 27, I had gastric bypass surgery (11/14/2005), with a starting weight of 437 lbs. Over the course of 18 months or so, I lost about 250 lbs. As elated as I am (most days) with the vast improvements I have been afforded in my life, I will always have "fat demons" to fight, particularly my fractured relationship with food. The resources that this site provides have been essential for my progression into normality, and it is now time for me to become active in the process. So, here it goes. . .
