I'm Pregnant!!!!

May 06, 2008

Okay so it was my husband's birthday weekend and bam!!!  I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant!  I am very happy and very excited !  HOwever, I know I'm not a full year out yet and my doctor's know and everyone knows but I have lost all but 20 pounds of my goal weight!  I've even lost more since finding out I'm pregnant.

Anyway the baby is due December 7, 2008!  I am so optimistic that I will be able to carry my baby full term and even have a somewhat uneventful pregnancy.  I look forward to having a baby!  So beware ladies....It's very true after surgery you will become fertile Myrtle!!!   But I'm very happy and blessed!  So keep me and my new bun in the oven in your prayers!!!

Thanks!

7 Months Today

Mar 20, 2008

Hello Everyone!

I am 7 months out and I've lost 110 pounds!  I went for my 7 month check up today and they couldn't believe my progress!  I only have 20 more pounds to go to reach my goal and their goal to loose my excess body weight.  My levels were great.  My vitamin D was still a little low, but other than that great!  I am so happy that I did that and God blessed me with the strength, family, and friends to continue with this process!

24 Weeks Post Op and 100 pounds lighter!!!

Feb 06, 2008

Hello everyone!

I have hit the half way point.  I have been so blessed to not have any crazy complications from surgery.  I am experiencing some thinning hair and little gout every now and then.  But mostly I'm experiencing dropping weight!!!  This is what I wanted.  So I started my journey at 315 and I am now 214!  I wear size 16 pants and 18 or XL tops.  I feel so much more confident!  I've been working out at a gym and that feels great too!  I will add a new body shot pic up here so you can check out my body!

Merry Christmas and 16 Weeks Post Op!

Dec 13, 2007

I recently went for my 3 month post op check up and at that time I was down 75lbs.  Today I have lost 85lbs which is so unbelievable!!!  I feel so much better, I can move a lot faster without loosing my breath.  My husband and I are having soooooooo much more fun!!!!  It just feels great!

I received the results from my blood work and right now I am anemic, low B1, and low Vitamin D.  So I was prescribed some medications to take.  Everything else was normal and looked great.

It's been a while...8 weeks post op!

Oct 15, 2007

Well I have made it for 8 weeks.  I thank God so much for the incredible journey that he allowed me to go through.  I did not have any major complications other than pesky gout that I still get from time to time. (Knock on wood, but I have faith that everything will be fine) I did not have a lot of the head hunger I hear people complain about and I've only thrown up twice and it was simply because I ate too fast!!  Greedy me!

To make a long story short.  Thanks to OH and the support from my family and friends because I have officially lost 55pounds....Yes 55!  I can not believe it.  My exercising has been sporadic which is not good, but it's because of the gout I keep getting.  I went back to work 2 weeks ago and that has been swell because my schedule will now be 1st shift!!!  I work for a call center and the shifts can vary!  Anyway I am so thankful to the company I am employed with for paying for my surgery!  I know I am still considered in the honeymoon period, but I am so thankful that I don't get hungry anymore!  I am so blessed its unbelievable!

I started at 315......I now weigh 260 and I am wearing my size 20 jeans again!!!!!!  I feel sexy again!  I just look forward to no more gout so I can start wearing some nice heels!!!!

I'm home!

Aug 26, 2007

I was so nervous on Tuesday and my surgery was delayed for about four hours, but I made it through.  The first day I wondered what in the you know what did I do to myself!  After the pain calmed down and I stopped being so hot I felt a lot better!  I came home on Thursday and besides the horrible gas pains it hasn't been bad at all.  My main struggle is getting in my protein and water.  I know they told me it will take a while for me to find a routine and it has!

Anyway I think sometimes I feel mentally hungry.  When I see food on TV, my husband eating, my family eating I wish it was me.  But I know that I made the right decision because I will benefit greatly from the WLS surgery.  I look forward to my six weeks off of work so that I can get my activity level up high and loose a good amount of weight before returning to work.  I can't believe how blessed I am to be able to have this surgery to help me live a better life!

Well I will update later on any weight loss!

2 more weeks

Aug 07, 2007

In only TWO more weeks I will have the surgery!  I am scared, nervous, and excited about starting my new life.  It will be hard, but worth every hunger headache, nauseous feeling, and bitchy attitude!  Tomorrow I go to my nutrition assessment class where I learn in detail what I can eat.  Then on Thursday I go for my preop appointment.  So we'll see what happens!
