So, I just got off the phone with the Nurse for my pre surgery interview!
Everything seems to be in order & ready to go, I just have to get my things prepared now & set for my walk in on Tuesday....I'm even more excited now than I was before....

So, I went to my pre-op appt yesterday & got alot of good creative ideas from them for my liquid/mushy diet phase after surgery.
I only have to prepare one day in advance (liquids only), I actually thought I was going to have to do that for a longer period of time before the surgery.
I know, I need to get use to it anyway.....LOL!
Sooo, I'm set for next Tuesday.....I'm getting so anxious now!

So, I have my Pre-op Appt on 11/17 with Dr Coon, which makes me that much closer to my surgery date (11/25). I'm soooo excited!!!!!!!!!

I just got my appt. for my dietician, which is on 10/28.....then I'll be getting my pre-op appt with Dr.Coon.....I can't wait! 

Okay, well got a call from Dr. Coon's office today with my optional surgery dates. I'm so excited, even though it wasn't for the surgery I had planned on getting, it was the option I did start with, which was Lapband. So, I'll let God just guide me along as I go.
I figured I'll just wait now for my husband to get back from deployment, since I didn't get this all approved months ago,as I would have like to have had it done before he had returned. But, I guess as they say, everything happens for a reason. 
So, I'm definitely set on getting it done before Thanksgiving, even though my sis says wait til after the holidays so I can eat & enjoy. But, I figure why wait there will always be something going on to hold me back. Might as well begin before all the holidays come, so I can enjoy the NEW me as soon as possible.
Any thoughts or advice on all of this? I'd love to hear your opinions?

I finally got word from my insurance, Tri Care Prime that I was approved for Lap Band. Dr. Coon mentioned there have been some changes with my insurance & getting approved for Gastric Bypass would be very hard for me. So, was not sure which surgery he submitted me for, but I guess it was for the banding. This is how it's listed: lap, place gastr adjust band.
Well, I'm a bit nervous & unsure now.....I don't know, maybe it's just my mentallity of not being able to have food when I want it, or being able to be comforted by it when I want it. People keep telling me I can do it on my own, but then I think if I could, then why am I still overweight?
I'm debating........will let you know the outcome of it all.

Well, today I had my pysch testing done, I gotta say that I never have been to a session like that before & I was a bit nervous but yet at the same time it was kinda nice to let out some stress on an ear that has no judgements on you. So, now to wait & see what the next step is in this whole process. I will hopefully hear from Dr. Coon's office to let me know when they have submitted the paperwork to my insurance. Yeah!

Well, yesterday made my appt. for my evaluation, which was alot of back & forth with this one. But, thanks to some great advice (thanks Kimberlin) & tips my appt will be on Tuesday 7/22. Last step til' Doc sends in for an approval for surgery. I was unsure of which I wanted, but I am set on going for the Gastric procedure, I'm excited!
