My name is Sally I'm 38 a mother of two beautiful kids Eli 4 & Emma 15 months, they are my world. I have battled with weight issues since as far back as I can remember. I have tried just about every diet out there when I stop following the plan I gain back the weight plus more. In 2007 I started looking into WLS to have the bypass and I found out pregnant so everything was put on hold until now. In May of '09 I started the process again.
2-23-07 weight 263 lbs Thought long and hard about it. Seen my primary care Dr. today requested to be ref. to Dr. Leport for Gastric Bypass surgery. Dr. said he would sumit the request.
3-1-07 Received a letter from my medical group comments: Modified from gen. surg. w/Dr Leport to nutritionist pt must 6 mos suprv w/PCP & nutri, loose 10% body.
3-2-07 Trying to look on the bright side. Spoke with the nutritionist have an appt. set for Monday March 5th.
3-5-07 Met with nutritionist. Went well weighed in at 265 lbs I need to lose 27 lbs in six months. I CAN DO IT! I started walking.
10-07-07 Almost made my 10% weight loss however, I found out I'm pregnant! So everything is on hold.
5-08-08 Delivered a beautiful baby girl 10lb 8oz.
2009 Started the process again to have the gastric bypass.
8-3-09 Seen the Nephrologist today to get a Kidney clearance. I need to have a Ultrasound on my Right Kidney
I lost the Left Kidney in a Motorcycle accident.
12-29-09 Completed all my labs for surgery
12-31-09 Happy New Year! I'm looking forward to my New Begining
1-4-10 Check in time is 5am at the Hospital my surgery is scheduled for 7:30am today weighed 245lb.
1-16-10 Had to have open surgery Dr. LePort said I have to much scar tissue from a motorcycle accident I had back in
1998. He removed my Gallbladder and repaired a hernia I had. I'm home and doing better however I have had a great deal of pain. Dr. said it's cause he did more than just the Bypass.
1-19-10 two weeks post op appt. weighed 211lbs.
2-3-10 weighed 203lbs Each day is getting better. I'm not hungry! Don't know what I would do without my Mom who has been helping me out with the kids every single day since Jan 4th
2-16-10 Follow up appt. my Dr. weighed 200lb.
