Getting the Train Back on the Tracks

Nov 10, 2011

It is so hard to get on track when you have been derailed for so long.  In the very beginning I did it by the book, but by 6-8 months I lost the book, I started eating things that were on the "Do Not Eat" list.  THAT WAS A MISTAKE!!!!  Then at some point I started in on regular soda, again.  I was back up to two 44 oz Pepsi's or Mt Dew a day, sometimes the Pepsi would have a shot of cherry or vanilla sometimes both.  Then I came to the DS Forum, confessed my sins, and got back on track for a very short time. Then fell off, again.

Well I am back on track again and the train is no yet moving.  I gave up a lot all at once.  Last week I gave up regular pop, carbs and cigs. Now that the train in back on the tracks it is time to start moving the train forward.  My protein intake has increase a lot over the last week, by exactly how much I couldn't tell you, I just know it is a lot because I am doing low carb.  The last few days have been total hell, really hell.   I would eat until my stomach was full, but I still had a hungry feeling, I was not satisified, but that is starting to pass. Each day gets easier.

I can tell that I am eating better because clothes fit more loosly than before.  I know weight loss for me right now is not number one, but it is a good side effect of doing what I should be doing.

Well, I will check back in with a new entry over the next few days for an update on progress. If anyone would like to be an "accountablility friend" I would welcome that, drop me a line.
