This is my first entry on this journey. First of all, let me clarify, my BMI is 43.7 according to the calculator on this site. Other sites put me at 43.9.
I am still in process of getting my surgery date. I meet with the doctor, Gianluca Iacobellis, next Tuesday June 16th at St. Joe's hospital in Hamilton.
I live in Toronto but the commute is well worth it. I was considering surgery in NYC but got a call from the very nice surgeon that he lost his OHIP funding.
I quickly phone OHIP as I had already starting the process by sending them the OOC approval form and had some of the tests done. OHIP put me on the St. Joe's and I'm glad they did!
I will let you know the results of my meeting next week.
I will also try to get a photo in on my blog if I can find one that fits the frame, ha ha.
