Well let's see here....
I am 25 years old. I am a brand new resident of Florida. I have an awesome fiance who is very supportive. That's him in the pictures
! And I am obese. Scratch that I am what the doctor called super super super morbidly obese. There I have admitted it. Trust me not an easy thing to admit either. I use to not always be this way. And I don't envy people who have had obesity issues all their life. I have only lived with this for the past 8 years or so. I was skinny before i had gotten pregnant. After the pregnancy something inside me shut off. And now here I am making another huge life changing choice. My first was giving my daughter a life she needed, and here is my second, changing the way my body has become.
The feelings I have are excitement, fear, worry, and READY ALREADY. I am scared yes because surgery is not something to take lightly. I worry because something could go wrong. EXCITEMENT because I want to change and this surgery is making that possible. See I went through NUMEROUS diets and none of them worked and all i kept doing is gaining and gaining and gaining. And READy ALREADY 'cause I am so ready for this to be over. See I am going through the special dietary treatment before the surgery. And it has been TOUGH. It takes major will power to go through this. I don't get to eat solid foods right now except for one VERY SMALL meal in the evening. Plus I have to take all the programs vitamin suppliments to get use to them so it has been a trying time for me. But so far it is on the right track and i have lost 10 lbs which is what the doctor wants before the surgery. This is so I will have an easier time healing.
Anyways... What can I say about the surgery so far. I am only a few days away from getting a full rouxen y gastric bypass. The program I am in right now with the doctor is great and fare priced. I spent a total of $26,500 on everything. That includes the surgery, psych evaluation, a years worth of free update appointments, nutrition councelling, exercise counselling, support group, hospital stay, and a new leash on life. Remember though what you pay and what i have had to pay may be two different numbers because I am a self-pay patient. I don't have insurance!
This is my basic story right now in a perverbial nutshell. Thanks for listening.
