1 Year Surgiversary!
Jul 14, 2009
WOW! What a year it has been! I have lost a total of 100 lbs. This has been the best experience of my life. I never knew what a transformation this would be. I am recovering from a tummy tuck and breast lift with augmentation. It has not been that bad of a surgery. The outcome will be worth it. I wil post pics after the swelling has subsided. I feel amazing and will never go back. This has boosted my self esteem and confidence in so many positive ways. I am so blessed to have this new life.

Below Goal!
Jun 22, 2009
Well dreams do come true! I don't think I ever really imagined i would really lose all the excess weight. I am at 122 lbs now, with a 98 lb weight loss! Yeah me! I am scheduled for a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants on July 2, 2009. This will be the final chapter of my weight loss journey. This has changed me and given me so much confidence that I could never go back to before surgery. I never realized how unhappy I was. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to change my life in such a positive way.

9 Months Post Op
Apr 14, 2009
Well again, time has flown by so fast. I am 2 lbs away from my personal goal of 130 lbs. I have lost 88 lbs. to date. I am very happy with my results and hope to lose a little more. I am hoping for a tumy tuck this summer. I started having a little pain in my abdomen that turned out to be gall stones. I had surgery at the end of March to remove my gall bladder and everything went well. I still have no regrets in my decision to have this surgery, for it has forever changed my life.

7 Months Post Op
Feb 15, 2009
Wow, how time flies! 7 months behind me, and down 77 lbs. It sure feels good. I joined Curves in January, and lost 4lbs & 4 inches my 1st month. I was really impressed. I'm still losing hair, just not as much. The energy level is still low, even though I am getting B-12 shots every other week or so. I'm anxiously awaiting my 1st year anniversary, so I cant get my long awaited tummy tuck. That area is such an issue. It interferes with my clothes sizes. I have to wear a bigger size waist, but it swallows my legs. They just don't match up. I still have had no problems with food, I am careful not to put anything greasy or sugary in my mouth. It takes discipline. I'm so thankful for this life altering step I've taken, and still have no regrets.

I'm moving right along. Doing very well. I've lost 64 lbs., and 52 total inches. I can eat just about anything without any trouble. I do stay away from sweets and fried foods. My hair is thinning badly. I am enjoying buying clothes in the misses dept. Can't ever remember doing that. I hope to loose about 30 more lbs. I still have no regrets and am very satisfied with my results this far.

4 Months Post Op
Nov 16, 2008
My oh my how fast 4 months fly by. I have lost 56 lbs, and 47 inches! And do I feel great? Of course! I have been called skinny many times. That sounds so foreign to me. I am doing great with food. I just try to make good choices. Nothing greasy or sweet. I do good with most anything. Buying clothes has been confusing. I've always been in the plus size dept., but can't wear those clothes anymore. So not sure how to buy in misses yet. I'm sure just a little more practice and I'll soon be a pro. I am loosing alot of hair. I try to get in protein, but it's a little hard for me.

I'm tickled to say that after 3 months I've lost 45lbs. I am feeling very well with the exception of not alot of energy. I am going to look into some B-12 injections. I've been told that they will help. I am walking 3-5 days a week on my treadmill, and even jogging when I feel a burst of energy. My clothes size continues to drop. I have went down 3 sizes. My self esteem is building and I'm feeling more and more confident everyday. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have this surgery. It has changed my life.

Life is good, and gets better everyday. Every pound lost is gone forever. I will never be at this weight again. I feel great, and have lost 34 lbs and 30 inches. I have had to buy a few new clothes, the old ones are just too baggy. What a great feeling. Even though adjusting to find foods that agree with me are a challenge, I haven't regretted this decision at all.
1 Month Post-Op
Aug 15, 2008
Well, I've finally made it to the 1st month of post op life. I am doing really well. I started this journey at 220 lbs. I can now say I will NEVER be in the 2's again. I am down 22 lbs. I have had a few difficulties adjusting to what foods to eat, it's a learning process. I have no regrets. I will say the 1st month is the hardest while you are figuring things out. But it does get easier day by day.
2 Weeks Post Op
Jul 29, 2008
7/29/08 I'm 2 weeks exactly post op and feeling great. I think the hardest has been trying to find something thats ok to eat. I still get hungry and think about what I used to eat and crave those foods. But when I do eat something, it doesn't take much. I have lost 15 lbs. so far. I know this has been the best decision for me, it's just difficult adjusting. It does get a little easier each day. I had a love affair with food, and enjoyed the best of it. It's like going thru a break-up with something you love. But I'm determined, and I will succeed.
