Hello there! I never thought I would find myself 8 years after LAPBAND having to have revision. When I first had my surgery I lost 65lbs at most but lots of stomach issues have occured since that. Only 2 months after being banded I had to be admitted for emergency Galbladder surgery as I had gangrene and was nearly 45 minutes from death. Since that surgery I haven't been the same.
It wasn't till a year ago that I started feeling ill after eating. Basically I choke on my food and foam at my mouth every time I eat. I have got to a point where I don't enjoy eating but drink my calories. This has become unhealthy as I turn to sodas and high calorie drinks to quench my thirst.
A good friend of mine that I model with, works at a weightloss clinic here in Phoenix and recommended her surgeon to me, Dr. Villares at Ideal Physician Weight Loss. During my first appointment they saw the urgency in my problem and began running tests to submit to my insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield for surgery approval. Within 24 hours I was approved with no prior authorization!! I am working on my date right now for surgery but aiming for May 19th!
