I have always had a weight problem. I was on a diet at the age of 5. When I got in to sports as a kid I thinned out. Then when I became a young adult the weight was back. Just like everyone else I have tried all the diets. Then about four years ago my dad passed away. He had heart problems and was a diabetic. After he passed I decided I didn't want to be like him and I went and had a full check up. That was the year I found out I also was diabetic. The first two years I controlled it by diet and exercise. Now I am up to three shots a day and oral meds at night. Then my step sister passed two years ago. She was the nicest person you would ever meet. She was well over 500 pounds and she spent the last two years of her life in bed. With my step mom taking care of her. We learned alot with Debbie's passing. We decided to cremate her. Because of her size the could not cremate her all at once. I will not tell you exactly what they said to us. Let's just say I put it alot nicer then they did.  and there would be an extra fee for each pound she was over their weight limit. That was the year I decide I wanted to have the weight loss surgery. I do not want be like my Dad or sister. Unhappy and unhealthy. But I also realized I needed to do work on myself before I went to see a doctor about this surgery. I needed to figure out why I eat. I'm an emotional eater. I have done the work I feel I have needed to get myself ready for this live change experience. And I am ready.
