It is Almost Time!

My date was changed from May 7 to March 17! YIPEE! So here it is Friday, March 14 - 3 days away. How do I feel? Nervous, excited, calm and peaceful all in one!
I had my Pre Op appointment Monday and they demanded I schedule a stress test and get my blood pressure down. My bp is down and I am not at all concerned about this. I had the stress test done yesterday and still don't know the results. I have called the doctor's office but as of 11:06 am no one is in the office and no one has called me back. I am working on the assumption that no news is good news!
I am having my "last supper" tomorrow - am having difficulty deciding what I want though. At this moment I am leaning heavily on Friendly's. The kids want to go see Horton Hears a Who and I thought that would be a relaxing day for me. My goal the next two days is to relax and enjoy!
It is amazing that the day is almost here. When I first had my date in May it seemed so far away and unreal. I talked in if I get skinny and not when. Now with surgery just hours away I am beginning to talk when I get skinny. My DH says I will need to learn to think as a skinny person (which I have NEVER been). I almost picked up the latest issue of Figure the other day and caught myself saying I won't need this as I will be skinny! I look at that as my first NSV!
I will post as soon as I can and let everyone know how it went!

May 7, 2008 is the date!! I will have to keep myself very busy so I don't go crazy waiting. Patience is not a strong virtue for me. But it will be here soon enough.

Well, I have been approved for the open RNY since December 17, 2007. I was told I would get my appointment in the mail. So now I wait.
I was told that the last surgery the hospital scheduled was for April 30 and that there were two people ahead of me. So I am guess the middle of May. How will I stand the wait?!?!
I hope I get my letter soon. At least then I will know it is "official" and I will have a date!
I would appreciate any prayers, good thoughts or sacrifices to the scheduling gods to get this letter.
