"I first met Dr. Case at a seminar in May. He is very knowledgeable and very approachable. He welcomed questions from the audience and took his time with everyone. He didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave, even though the seminar was over. His office staff is very helpful. Lisa is a dream to work with and very easy to talk to. She makes you feel comfortable and talks with you like a friend. After care is very much emphasized and I like that alot. Dr. Case and his staff take the time to explain about diet and exercise and require you to have visits with a nutritionist and exercise specialist both before and after surgery. I will meet with Dr. Case this week. I can't say enough about Dr. Case as a surgeon but more importantly as a person. His surgical competence is amazing. But his caring personality is absolutely the best. Dr. Case visited me in the hospital every day, took time to answer all my questions as well as my family's, made sure I was comfortable and getting all the right food and medication, and listened to what I had to say. You don't find that kind of doctor around much anymore. I believe surgical competence and bedside manner are both important and I would rate Dr. Case a 10+ in both areas. New patients, be aware that Dr. Case has a very structured aftercare program, from our bypass support group meetings, to continued meetings with the nutritionist and physical therapist and continued examinations by Dr. Case. Before my surgery, Dr. Case took lots of time to answer all my questions, to advise me of the risks of surgery and to put my mind at ease. Never once did I feel pressured or rushed from his office. Dr. Case changed my life, and there is nothing in this world I could do or say to thank him for his competency, thoughtfulness, and kindness. He truly empathizes with the morbidly obese. He never made me feel like I was any different from a thin person. Thank you Dr. Case. You saved my life. "
