I started having problems with my weight after the birth of my first child. It seems this is common in my family history. We do not have weight problems in childhood, but do as adults alond with several comorbities like diabetes II. I have lost weight many times, but like everyone it comes back plus more within one to five years. I am so hoping with the LapBand system, this yo-yo syndrome will stop. Dr. Edwards has an excellent before and after care program. I think this accountability to all who are helping me with help me keep it off. Dr. Edwards expects you to follow-up with him every three months where he can help you address any problems you are having early before they become overwhelming. I need this longterm care as I am great in the starting gate, but can falter later on. So it begins...I will have my surgery date on the tenth. Woo Hoo
