no more soft food!!!
Jun 17, 2007
OMG! I can finally eat real food, no more pureed food...I am so excited. It is going to be ruff learning how to re-eat most of this, well what I can and can't eat but it will be so worth it. At least I have had practice with portions for the last 5 weeks.
Wow, 5 weeks has passed since the surgery I can't believe it! Its been about 11 months since I first really started thinking about it and looking into things about WLS.
I am not sure how much I have lost since the 10 day after mark because I haven't gone to the doctors to get the GTube out yet. That will be thursday.
I went to a picnic today and that went well...it was totally centered around church and fathers and not the food. I had a little piece of chicken, green bean casserole, and potato salad. Then for dessert I had a strawberry. Its so fantastic that I can eat so little and still be full. It is still and unreal concept for me.

life with a G Tube
May 27, 2007
I hate the G Tube!!! I thought it was infected a few nights ago but evidently all the redness and oozing is normal. Its painful still, I hope that goes away....soon! I don't use it except to drain it but even that is really pointless at this point, since it is clear drainage. Only 3.5 weeks left of it in! I am counting down the days.
