Deanna O.
I'm sure my story is similar to everyone else's on this site. I have gradually, over the course of my adulthood, gained weight approximately 100 lbs. I have tried Xenical (for anyone who has ever taken that weight loss medicine can feel my pain), Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss, among others without any success. I did lose 30 lbs and gained it back within six months after i reached a plateau.....No one truly knows how you feel unless they are in your shoes. I have completed my process which included me seeing a psychologist, exercise physiotherpists, dietician and having an Upper GI....ewwww.......So my process is complete. I have my surgery scheduled and can't wait to start the rest of my life. I think the most difficult part for me is going to be PROTEIN...especially in liquid form. I am commited to overcoming that fear and will do whatever I have to do to accomplish my goal. Tomorrow 10/20/08 I am going to start incorporating exercise into my daily routine. I have high hopes to loose about 20 lbs prior to my surgery. I know that it's going to be a challenge trying to toggle my career, classes, and relationship along with this huge task.....I have 62 days in counting until my surgery!!! We'll see how it plays out.....until next time
