I started trying to loose weight since my teenage years. I was very successful once with weight watchers but, then I put it back on again.
I was at my highest weight of 232 and my height is 4 "11" WOW I know. I had my son and I tried again because I wanted to be around for him and healthy. I was working out on my treadmill and trying but, it just wasn't coming off. So I went to Tufts Medical Center for some information on the Gastric bypass (which was what I thought I would be having done) after meeting with the specialist and talking they helped me to loose some weight without surgery but, then I was at a standstill again. I was very scared of the bypass so I found out about the lapband and that's what I decided to go with.
Well, now I am still of course 4 "11 but, my weight is 155. It wasn't all from surgery though. Some I lost pre-op. I have had three fills to 3cc but, a few months ago I had to have the fluid taken out of the band because I was having pain.
My surgeon put some more fluid back into my band so now I am at 2 1/2cc but, I don't feel the restriction I did with 3cc but, they said I was too tight at 3cc. That's why I had pain. The weird thing is that I was at 3cc for a whole year with NO problems. I was a little confused at that. I have an appointment next month again to see if they will put anymore fluid in they want to see how this works. Weight wise I am not loosing anything. Just keep at it I tell myself.
