Surgery was completed on 11/30/07 with Dr. Chris Evanson at St. Vincent Carmel. I have been overweight since I was six years old. Like many people here at OH I have struggled with my weight all my life, losing weight only to regain more. I am inspired to take control of my health by the many people whom I have seen succeed before me.
I researched all the surgical methods available, and finally decided the Lap-Band was the best choice for me. I truly believe that any surgery can be successful with a good surgeon, regular follow-up, support groups and a strong commitment to making the necessary lifestyle changes. Success is not measured only in pounds lost, but in quality of life gained.
