Poetry!!!
Oct 25, 2007
Here are two of my favorite poems by Langston Hughes, first:
Dream Variations
To fling my arms wide in some place of sun. To whirl and to dance till the white day is done. Then rest at cool evening beneath a tall tree. While night comes on gently, dark like me. That is my dream! To fling my arms wide in the face of the sun. Dance! Whirl! Whirl! Till the quick day is done. Rest at pale evening...A tall, slim tree...Night coming tenderly, Black like me.
Dream Deferred
What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore, then run? Does it stink, like rotten meat? Or crust over like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it sags like a heavy load? OR DOES IT EXPLODE? What happens to a dream deferred?
Now here is an original poem written by me.
Autumn
Yellow rays shine on my cocoa ephilium, god's breath blows in my face. The green leaves move in a groove. Something beautiful is among my vision. Perfectly trimmed grass lay still, untouched by man. Another fall day has taken place, something no man can change. Building go up, homes come down. The broke become condemed and the wealthy play, but the fall season will always bring smiles. While the baby blue sky alines the scene ahead, twindling the imaginations with fantasy and joy!

GOD has something big planned for me!!!

I made an appointment for my lap band therapist today. To my shock and surprise the earliest appointment they have is in DEC. I was a little dissapointed, but now I know that the lord is planning something major for me, and he wants me to wait patiently, to prepare myself for this new journey I will go on. I love the lord so much, he does things for me, that I realize later on. I will wait patiently wait like he wants me, and pray till, and after my day comes!
On My Way!!!

Today I finally spoke with the coordinator at my hospital to set up a consultation appointment. She was on vacation like, forever, but I set a date for Nov. 1. The next step is for me to schedule an appointment for the therapist there. I also have to quit smoking 60 days before my surgery date. I do not know when I will have the lap band placed, but I officially become smoke-free Oct. 24, 2007. I hope that I can get my surgery done in Dec, since I go to school, but as long as I get a surgery date I am fine!

I am still waiting to see my doctor to run the needed checkups for the lap band surgey, then I have to wait for my insurance to approve it. I am just waiting waiting in a waiting game it seems. i should be use of this, since i have been waiting all my life for things. I should be more patient, but no! I just want my live to start already, I have been on this earth nineteen years and I still have not taken my first breath of air yet.
