Surgery was Friday and was released on Sunday, Spent most of the past few days sleeping. There is no way I can possibly drink enough protein, the smell of it makes me nauseous. I finally got out today and found my alternative which is skim milk with sugar free instant breakfast. I can tolerate it and it does not bother my stomach. Probably not the best option but it might work until I can tolerate the protein shakes. Oh well... other than that I am feeling good, no pain from the surgery at all. A little dizzy when I stand up is all. All in all it was a good experience now the fun begins I guess. Stay tuned...

I absolutely cannot wait! I am at work right now trying to button up stuff for my staff so that they are all nice and busy while I am out. I have a ton of emails to complete and 4 more meetings before my day is complete but just wanted to capture my thoughts before tomorrow. Tonight is my daughter's senior night ... it is moments like these that make you stop and take a breath. She is the youngest of 7 (we have a blended family of all boys and her) she is my dream, she is independent and willful, caring and sweet. She is me when I was younger except this kid really has her stuff together. She was big plans for college and her career and I am trying to hold her feet to the ground to finish this year slowly. After my surgery tomorrow I am going to work hard to be the picture of health that will be an inspiration to her. I want to attend her graduation in June wearing the cutest sun dress you ever saw and I want to cherish these next few months and make the most of them. I am totally excited for my re-birthday! (that is how the lady from hospital admissions put it ... she too has had the surgery).

Today should have been my re-birthday but my surgery was postponed because of the hurricane. I am rescheduled to Friday so not much of a delay. oh well I can wait! it is totally worth it. Have a good day everyone and I hope you all made it out of the storm!
