Hello everyone,

I have researched weight loss surgery for the past 8 years.  I was skeptical because I did not want that long scar down my body.  I waitied because I knew there would come a day when you could have the surgery laparascopically.  I am so glad I waited.  I reached my heaviest weight (280) this past October (2006) and I was miserable.  I finally selected my surgeon, went to a support group meeting, did all of my paperwork, obtained my medical records, met with the surgeon and had my surgery January 24th.  I am now 4 weeks post op and down to 245 and it feels wonderful. I still have 100 pounds to go.  I am not able to get in all of my protein, I have no appetite or energy.  I sometimes ask myself what did I do?  But I know the end result will be wonderful.  I'll post pictures in the near future.
