I did it!!

Had my surgery 05/18/10 and was up walking that day. I was out of the hospital 05/19/10. I am tired of liquids, but doing well. I'm ready for the pool to exercise, but no submerging for 3 weeks. I have not had pain meds since I left the hospital. No nausea, no vomiting. I have not felt hungry even though I have to fix food for my kids. I am ready to chew again, but i know i have 1.5 weeks left to go.

So Cigna denies my surgery. They are my secondary plan. They require 6 months of seeing a physician in order to approve your surgery. I am doing an appeal. I just got Cigna this year, and in order to do the 6 months it would push my surgery back to the end of the year. I hate insurance sometimes.....ironically I'm a medical biller with my own company!!

I am so excited to finally have my surgery scheduled. I am a little nervous about it, but overall i'm looking forward to it. I have to have my pre-op with the group in May to discuss changes in my self, and those around me. I have such a great support system around me, that I know things will be ok during my transition.
