Thanks for the well wishes in my gallbladder removal. It didn't go as planned, as my profile says, but I am starting to feel actually like a post op should in the eating dept. I can't stress enough that you need to push for the answers and once you get them, you need to push some more for resolve of the problem. I am now almost one month post removal, I will be one month on November 9th, and I feel that I lost some time by letting things hang like they did. I will continue to let everyone know how I'm doing, and hopefully, things will look up from here. Thanks again!

I have posted on my profile what's up. The burning sensation is going to require an endoscopy. I have that set for May 16th. I also went to the ER this past Friday and I found out that it was severe gas and that things look to be acid reflux. I am on Phazyme and Pepcid over the counter, but I won't be taking that long. I want to be sure that I am ok for the gathering that's going on the second weekend in May, but I won't be eating much of anything. (A waste of $30 for myself, but I won't be able to eat much of anything.) I do know that right now, two or three bites of any food and I'm full. It's ok by me, as long as I can keep losing like I have been. As for my loss, I'm currently down 168 lbs. I can weigh in on a bathroom scale that weighs people up to 330 lbs. Lastly, I was told that I wouldn't lose more the 150 lbs by my psychologist who evaluated me for my surgery. Here I am 18 lbs over that. Please, Please, PLEASE!! Do NOT let anyone set limits on you! You set your own limits. You decide when you've had enough. I haven't had enough. I want more of a loss. And I will work at it.

Almost 7 months after surgery, and all is just about well. I will be posting in my profile about how my 6 month follow up went, as I go to it on Wednesday. I had a wound infection that took 5 months to heal. I'm closed, and grateful that I am closed. My only issue right now is a burning sensation I have in the tummy area. I'm not sure if it's the food choices or if it's just basic healing, but I am confronting my surgeon on it Wednesday. I do know that if I take the Zantac I have left over, it kills the burning for a little while. That's about it for now, other then as of last Saturday, I was down 136 lbs.

Alright... I know I needed to do this... all went well.. I'm now a day over 3 weeks post-op. I'm feeling pretty good after having Open RNY, but a little sore still in my incision area. I am guessing that takes time to get over. The food issue has been the problem for me, but I'm slowly starting to get the idea.
