Dgrunt
302 lbs., 5'8" and 37 yrs old. The heaviest I've ever been, and the crappiest I've ever felt.
I have always being overweight, my whole life. Even when I was in the Marine Corps I was considered a "Fat Body" during my whole enlistment. I had a hard time enlisting in the Marines because of my weight, but after a month of running, exercising and dieting I finally made weight to get a waiver to enlist. That was 15 yrs ago. After I got out, the weight came back. I have lost and gained and repeated the whole cycle so many times that I'm getting dizzy just thinking about it. I would lose 30 to 40 lbs. just to put it back on again and then some.
I want this surgery for me, but also for my wife and kids. I'm tired of not having any energy to play with them or being too embarrassed to go swimming or to the amusement park with them. I want to be actively involved in my kid's childhood with playing sports or doing school functions. This is why I am having WLS!
