I've been overweight for as long as I can remember...I guess I started to realize that I was not as thin as all my friends in the 5th grade. I think I've tried every diet known to man and a few times in my life I've actully been thin enough to shop in regular stores. My surgery is scheduled for April 21st, I'm having a laproscopic RNY. I actually work as a nurse at the hospital where I'm having surgery. I work in the ER and for the last three years I've asked every patient that's had WLS if it was a good decision. EVERY single person has said they'd do it again in a minute...even if they were in the ER due to complications. I'm in a committed relationship and I have three wonderful kids. My son is in college and I have two teenage daughters at home. I am so excited about this surgery and the thought of finally feeling good about myself. I am so ready for this life changing tool to get me on the right track for the rest of my life!!!
