Hello Denise - Congratulations on your upcoming surgery date! You'll find the changes that follow, nothing short of a miracle. My humble advice? Walk as much as possible after surgery. As your body begins to heal make sure to get in your protein, even if it means plugging your nose and chugging back the protein drinks in baby [pouch] gulps. Vitamins need to be chopped, minced or crushed... whatever it takes to get them in daily, no exceptions, YOU are worth it. Also, let's not forget your new best(est) friend, water. It is SO important to get your minimum 64 oz in daily. One final thing, remember to CELEBRATE all the special moments along the way, big or small. Too many people focus only on the number, ie. pounds lost. There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace, don't let any of them slip by. Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!! "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true" Hugs and smiles -

Hello Denise - Congratulations on your upcoming surgery date! You'll find the changes that follow, nothing short of a miracle. For 20 years I prayed and hoped for a "second chance" in life to be healthier and thinner - I never thought I would get that chance, but I did, and now so will you. Just a little catching up. I have 36 days till my surgery. I had my EKG today and my chest x-ray. I can't believe it is almost here. I think i have an angel but i am not sure. She has not gotten back to me. Well i will close for now. I will write more later. Today is 8-6-03 and i have 29 more days to go. i went to see the dietitian today and everything went well. I learned alot and went out and started buying all the things i will need for when i come home. I also found out without trying i lost 6 pounds i can't believe it. I know it is not a lot but i am happy and it is an accomplishment for me. Ok i will stop running my mouth and let you all go. Thanks for listening. Denise

On Friday, August 1st i had my EGD. Every thing went fine. I can't wait for all the test to be done. I have an angel named Dawn. I can't wait to be able to talk to her again. I also talked to a women named Jennifer who lives by me and is having her surgery 2 days before me. Her and i are going to keep in touch so we can suport each other.
